If you have forgotten your login details, you can retrieve your Apple ID to continue using your devices correctly and take advantage of the services made available by the House of Cupertino for its users.
When creating an Apple Account it is recommended to write the email address and password used on paper, and keep everything in a safe place, as we have already written in our guide “ How to create an Apple ID ”.

If you have forgotten your Apple ID
If you’ve forgotten your Apple ID, don’t panic. Surely you have already logged in from one of your devices.
From your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, tap Settings > [ your name ]. You will see the email address associated with your Apple ID at the top, under your name . If the associated email address does not appear, from the same screen tap on the iTunes Store and App Store, and you will be able to see the email address of your Apple ID at the top .
On your Mac, instead, select Apple menu > System Preferences .
If you are unable to trace your Apple ID through the procedures described above, connect to the page on the Apple website dedicated to the Apple ID account .

Click Forgot your Apple ID? and try to use the email addresses you may have used in creating your Apple ID (if you enter a wrong email address, try again with a different one).
If you have forgotten your Apple ID password
If you remember your Apple ID but forgot your login password, go to the Apple ID account page on the Apple website .
Click Forgot your Apple ID?
Enter your Apple ID email address, fill in the captcha code and click Continue .

You can now reset your password in three ways:
- Answer your security questions. Use these steps if you know the answers to the security questions you set up when creating your account. After entering your date of birth, you will be able to answer the security questions and set a new password.
- Email authentication. Use this procedure to receive an email to your primary address or backup address. The message will contain a link to the password reset page.
- Two-step verification. Choose this procedure if you are sure you have registered a second trusted device. You can reset your password through a verification code that will be sent to the device. If you no longer have access to the trusted registered device, you will not be able to reset the password. Get help from Apple
If you are unable to restore your Apple ID with the methods described above, you must necessarily contact the Apple support service , which will have to make sure that you are the real holder of the Apple ID you intend to recover .
Through Apple Support, you can request assistance on various topics.
In case you have configured the Apple ID on a device, and you no longer have the login information, you can contact Apple Support to open a service case.
The Apple support staff will guide you in the correct procedure to follow to unlock the device, and will assign you a support case number, which you will receive at an email address that you will indicate.
Most likely, to make sure that you are the real owner of the device , the Apple staff will also ask you to send a valid ID and the certificate of sale of the device , which states in a legible way:
- the seller’s data
- the device model
- the date of purchase
- the IMEI code of the device
If the procedure is successful (it may take a few days to wait), you will get the device unlocked by Apple , and when you turn it on you can configure the terminal as a new device .
