  • Shift + Up Arrow:This shortcut is used to expand selected text until it matches the character on the line above.
  • Shift + Down Arrow: This shortcut is used to expand a selected text until it matches the character on the line below.
  • Shift + Left Arrow: Extend selected text one character to the left.
  • Shift + Right Arrow:Extend selected text one character to the right.

Option (or Alt)

  • Alt + Volume Up: Open volume settings.
  • Alt + Keyboard brightness up: Open keyboard settings.
  • Alt + Delete: In a text,deletes the word to the left.
  • Alt + Command-F: Open the search bar.
  • Alt while dragging: Used to copy the entire element you are dragging.

Control

  • Control + H: Delete a character to the left.
