Hey friends, in this tutorial I will show you how you can move Epic Games games to a different hard drive very easily and without reinstalling it.
We have some video tutorials where we teach how to move a game from one drive to another but for Steam. Click here to see them
Seeing that many of my followers want me to talk about Epic, well, I took the time to make this video tutorial. To move Epic Games games to another hard drive, we must do the following steps:
- First we must go to the path where the game was originally installed. If you did not change the installation path when installing Epic on your PC, the location should be this by default: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\[Name of the game]) .
- We copy the game folder and paste it on the desktop for example, or any other location (except where you want to play the game).
- Now we must enter Epic (program), go to the library and look for the game you want to move.
- Uninstall the game by clicking on the 3 dots and then on the options choose uninstall.
- When the uninstallation is complete we will have to press install, then in the window that will appear choose the new path where you want to move your game.
- We hope that the installation advances about 2 or 3%, we give the 3 dots and we choose to cancel installation.
- DO YOU REMEMBER THE FOLDER WE COPIED AT THE BEGINNING? … Now we find it and drag it to the new location where the game was being installed. Doing this will likely result in a prompt indicating whether you want to replace files; If this is the case, we say yes.
- Then we go to Epic again, find the game, click on the 3 dots and choose to continue the installation.
Having done this, you will see that everything will start up, but instead of continuing to install; The system will begin to verify the files.
When you finish doing this, wala!!! We will already have our game in the new location.
If you got lost in any step, I invite you to watch the video tutorial, since that way you can see how I do it.
