WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging services. This time we will show you how to make video calls from WhatsApp Web using a computer.
WhatsApp has a web version which, unlike in the case of Telegram, we will have to be on the same WiFi network to be able to use it. WhatsApp Web has some limitations, such as not being able to make calls or video calls from the computer.
The truth is that there is no official way through which we can access WhatsApp video calls from WhatsApp Web , although there are methods through which we can make video calls from the computer.
- The first step we must take is to download BlueStacks , an Android emulator for PC with which we can download a multitude of Android apps and games to play them on our computer.
- We already anticipate that it is a platform which works very well , but has quite high loading times.
- When we have downloaded and installed BlueStacks on our computer, we will execute it.
- As soon as we open BlueStacks, the icon of the Play Store will appear. By clicking on it, we must enter our email and Google password (Gmail).
- Once we have logged in, we will download WhatsApp from the Google Play Store within BlueStacks.
- Once we have the WhatsApp icon next to the Google Play Store, we will open WhatsApp.
- When we open the app, it will ask us to accept the terms and conditions of the service and remember, it is as if we were browsing an Android mobile.
- Then we will enter our phone number that we have associated with WhatsApp.
- When we receive the confirmation SMS, we will complete it to continue with the process.
- Next, it will ask us for permission to use the contacts we have in the cloud. We must accept the permission , if we do not, all the contacts will appear with their phone number and it will be much more difficult for us to find who we want to call.
- Now that we are in WhatsApp, we will select the contact we want and click on the camera icon in the upper right part . As soon as you press the call will begin.
If we have a laptop with a webcam and an integrated microphone , the task is much easier than if we have a desktop computer through which we must plug in a webcam and an external microphone.
Solutions to possible problems
- If by any chance the Google Play Store were very slow, we could return to the menu.
- On the right side , there is a bar where some games from the BlueStacks application store are recommended to us.
- If we use the search bar at the top, we can enter WhatsApp and download it from said access .
- Our tests have been carried out with a desktop computer and we have not experienced any problems. Now, if by some chance we see and hear the other person, but the other member of the video call does not hear us or does not see us , it may be because we have inserted the microphone or webcam when we already had BlueStacks open.
- To fix it, just close and reopen BlueStacks .
As we can see, the process is not complex at all in order to make video calls on WhatsApp from the computer. The interface is sometimes slow, although it will also depend on whether or not we decide to optimize the use of BlueStacks from the computer settings.
