How to make low calorie whole grain cookies

Wholegrain cookies, an easy and healthy recipe

Ingredients:

  • 270 gr of whole wheat flour
  • 100 g of butter at room temperature
  • 60 gr of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/4 of teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Oat flakes (optional)

You will need to:

  • A large bowl
  • Manual stirrer or stirrer
  • A spatula
  • A baking tray with greaseproof paper

Steps to follow to make this recipe :

  1. To begin the preparation, pour the eggs, brown sugar and salt into a bowl. Mix the ingredients with a hand whisk or a whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved. Brown sugar is healthier than refined sugar, but you can also substitute it with other sweeteners such as stevia, fruit, or honey.
  2. Add the vanilla essence and butter to the mixture, and stir again. It is important to add the ingredients in this order,and integrate each of them into the mixture before adding the next ones.
