The Pixel 9 doesn’t come out until August 13, but you can already install its new exclusive weather app on your phone. The new Google Pixel 9 phone will be released on August 13. The next Google device will also include a new weather app that will be exclusively available to Pixel 9 owners for the time being.
Google intends to make this new app available to other Pixel phones over time. However, some users have noticed that the app is compatible with other Android phones , and that it can even work without too many problems.
Install the new Google Weather app on your mobile
To do this, we just have to download the installation APK file that is already available on APK Mirror . The only minimum requirement is that our phone is updated to Android 14 or a higher version
If we meet this condition, we just need to download the package and install it as we would with any other APK file. If you have never installed an application this way, I recommend that you take a look at the post “ How to install APK files on Android ”.
The process is very simple: open the Android “ Settings ” menu , go to “ Applications -> Special application access ”. Then, go to the “ Install unknown applications ” section, select Google Chrome (or the browser you use by default) and make sure that the “ Authorize from this source ” switch is activated.
Once this step is complete, open the APK file you just downloaded from APK Mirror and follow the prompts to complete the installation. We tested it with a Pixel 6a and a Xiaomi Redmi and had no issues.
Google’s new weather app includes a ton of interesting data, including wind gusts, sunrise and sunset times, UV index, visibility, humidity and ambient pressure, as well as the usual hourly and 10-day forecasts.
The information it displays is not very different from the standard version of the app, although it has a much more minimalist design, and small changes and improvements have been made to different sections of the app.
If you don’t know the Google weather app yet, now you know how you can try the improved version of this application on your mobile. See you in the next post!
