While it’s true that almost everyone has a smartphone , not everyone likes to play games on it. There are tons of worthwhile titles on Android , but perhaps the vertical format and the fact that it depends on your phone have put you off trying them out. Luckily, on PC there’s a solution to this: Bluestacks , an Android emulator that lets you download games from Android to your computer. Today, we’ll tell you how to install it.
How to download and install Bluestacks on PC
Obviously, to get started, the first thing you need to do is download the emulator. You can do this from the official Bluestacks website (and, in fact, I don’t recommend you do it from any other site, we’re going to use the official source to make sure you don’t download an undesirable executable).
Once you get in here, you’ll be presented with two options: Bluestacks 10 and Bluestacks 5 , and the decision isn’t as easy as choosing the highest number. Bluestacks 10 is the version I recommend if you have a rather weak computer , as it uses hybrid cloud processing to run games. Of course, you may not be able to access the best graphical settings.
On the other hand, if your computer is more capable and you are looking for the best level of detail possible , I recommend clicking on “Download Bluestacks” 5, as this version works fully on your computer. Below you can see the recommended requirements for Bluestacks 5.
Now, once you download the emulator and run the downloaded .exe , you can install it. Before this, the program may ask you to activate virtualization, this is an option that allows your computer to start another operating system within itself (in this case, Android).
I recommend that you read the developers’ instructions to activate virtualization if this is your case. On the other hand, if you cannot, Bluestacks also tells us how to download Bluestacks 5 without virtualization , although you will be relegated to 32 bits and the experience may not be the best . Whenever possible, it is advisable to activate virtualization.
