Install Albion Online on a Chromebook (2021)

I have mentioned two ways to install Albion Online on a Chromebook in this article. If your Chromebook is compatible with the Play Store, you can install the game in seconds. In case you have Linux support, you can also choose to install the desktop version of Albion Online on your Chromebook. It goes without saying that school-issued Chromebooks will not be able to use both methods unless the school administrator unlocks access to Linux or the Play Store. With that said, let’s take a look at both methods:

Install Albion Online from the Google Play Store

  1. If you’ve never used Android apps on Chromebook before, open Settings and turn on the Google Play Store. It will allow you to use the Play Store on your Chromebook and install Android apps.
  2. Next, open the Google Play Store, search for Albion Online(Free, offers in-app purchases), and install the game.
  3. Then, open the game and it will ask for your permission to download dependencies, assets and resources. The download size is around 1.6GB.
  4. When downloading assets, the game may crash. You must reopen it and continue the download.
  5. Once all the resources have been collected, you will be guided through the Albion Online prologue. You can press the right navigation keyto skip the entry. After that, you can log into your Albion Online account.
