Frames Per Second (FPS) is an essential setting for anyone to master in a competitive game, especially PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). If a second of the match attacks you, you may find yourself on the ground waiting for a raise from an ally, or you need to start a new game. Instead of buying a brand new computer, you can tweak a handful of settings in the game to enhance your online PUBG experience.
Before you start messing with the graphics settings, you need to focus on the FPS settings. You don’t have to do this in the middle of a game. In the main menu, you should see a gear in the upper right of the screen. Click on it and you ‘ll go to the PUBG settings page where you can change anything you want to focus on. In the Display Settings section, you can adjust the display mode of your game, its resolution, lobby and in-game FPS limit.
By default, it’s set to unlimited, but that could potentially bounce your computer all over the place. Your best bet is to put a limit on it. For the Lobby, you want to set it to 60 or 30 FPS. The in-game Cap FPS is much more critical because if you die there, you have to start a new game. If you don’t know the FPS preference for your computer, putting a 60 FPS limit is usually a good bet, you can set it to your custom setting. With a custom setting your FPS can range from 30 to 300, but 144 is generally a desirable setting for most gamers. You can play around with this to see what suits you.
If you put a cap on your PUBG The game’s FPS doesn’t help much, you can go all the way to the Advanced Settings tab to change the game graphics. You can choose the overall graphics to toggle between ultra, high, medium, low and very low. If there’s a mixture of things you want to play with, you can try setting it to custom and tweaking each setting. You want to reduce the settings in this order: anti-aliasing, shadows, post-processing, textures, foilage, effects, and draw distance.
You may have to play a few times and even skip to some games to see how the settings take. To make sure your settings accept, try shutting down the game and then reloading it again.
