How to archive Instagram stories
Archiving Instagram stories will allow you to save them to your Instagram account to use when you see fit. To do this, you will first have to activate the archiving function through the app settings; follow the steps below:
- Access your Instagram profile and click on the icon with the three horizontal lineslocated in the upper right corner of the screen.
- A menu will be displayed on the right side of the screen. At the end you will see the Settingsoption ; access it.
- Now click on the Privacyentry .
- A new menu will open; click on the Historysection .
- Within the Historyoptions you will find the Saved section ; in that section, activate the Save to file switch .
After completing these steps, all the stories you create will be saved automatically and chronologically within the Instagram Stories files section .
How to highlight Instagram stories
Now, what does archiving stories have to do with highlighting them on the Instagram profile? Now, Instagram allows you to highlight your favorite stories so that they remain fixed at the top of your profile, in order to access them more easily and make them visible to your contacts. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Access your Instagram profile and click on the icon with the three horizontal lineslocated in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Now click on the Archiveoption .
- Click on the story that you want to highlight in favorites; you will access the content of the story.
- A heart-shaped iconwill appear at the bottom ; press it.
- A pop-up window will appear at the bottom of the screen where you must select the name of the featured story; After selecting it, click on Add.
- A message will appear confirming that the story has been added.
- Now this story will appear highlighted on your Instagram profile.
After highlighting a story on your Instagram profile, you will see a circular icon with a “+” symbol appear inside to add more featured stories, stories that do not have an expiration date and will not disappear after 24 hours unless we remove them.
