As you progress through the Nier Replicator, you can undertake all kinds of side quests for the various NPCs in the game. Nier Replican’s Yonah’s Gift quest asks players to collect a watermelon, among other crops, and return it. Obtain watermelon for the Nier Yonah Replicant Gift Mission
If you already have a lot of gold that you don’t want to spend on other items, you can buy a watermelon from the Facade store for 800 gold.
Alternatively, you can purchase a watermelon seed from the Front Item Shop for 80 gold and then plant it in the cultivated soil right outside your home.
To do this, you must have completed the “Shopping List” side quest that you get at the beginning of the game. The quest tells you to bring him three Tulip Bulbs to unlock a plot of land to farm on and three reward fertilizers to unlock the second and third plots.
Then just walk across the field, press Circle (B on Xbox) and choose the “Plant” option. Choose the watermelon seed, then press the circle (B) again and choose the option to water the plant. You can also use Speed Fertilizer to speed up the growing time of the watermelon.
Once you have a watermelon, head back to Yonah and then you can move on to the next step in the search for Yonah’s Gift, which will assign you the task of getting a pumpkin.
