How to get the Green Pass in Italy

If you are wondering how to get the Green Pass (or Covid-19 Green Certification ) know that it is issued free of charge by the Ministry of Health in digital and printable format after having the vaccine (from the first dose) or after being cured of Covid or after have tested negative on the rapid molecular or antigen test. Read on if you want to learn more.

The Covid-19 Green Certification is a certificate that contains a QR Code and a qualified electronic seal that certifies one of the following conditions:

  • having had the COVID-19 vaccination
  • be negative on the rapid molecular or antigen test within the past 48 hours
  • be cured of COVID-19 in the past six months

Please note: the Green Pass is obtained both after the 1st dose of vaccine and at the completion of the vaccination cycle. However, be aware that after the first dose, about 15 days must pass before the certificate is valid.

How to get the Green Pass

You can have the Green Pass:

  • Via the Immuni App or the IO App
