Stellar Blade is primarily a hack and slash game where the main character, Eva, fights in close combat using a long sword and her skills are focused on close attacks. However, the game also features ranged elements and special weapons for this. In this guide, we will tell you how to get your ranged weapons in Stellar Blade.
Ranged combat is mentioned in the game long before you have the opportunity to obtain it. If you want to make sure you don’t miss anything and get firearms in Stellar Blade as early as possible, check out our guide below.
How to Get Your First Pistol and Other Ranged Weapons in Stellar Blade
Your first ranged weapon in Stellar Blade is found exclusively during the main story and is unmissable. To get the gun in the action game, you need to reach the main survivor city and start the quest “Xion, the Last City”. A full walkthrough of this quest can be found on a separate page .
During this mission, you will be tasked with heading to the safehouse to speak with Adam. Once you get there, you will automatically be given an upgrade for your drone, which now allows you to use it as a firearm, activated by holding L2 and pressing R2 to fire.
This is a free and permanent upgrade to your abilities, but it doesn’t stop there – from now on, the repair console will also allow you to upgrade your drone and add new firing options. In addition to the standard single shots and regular bullets, Eva can equip the drone with a charging laser, homing missiles, shotgun shells, and more, including hacking tools.
It’s important to remember that ammunition is limited and needs to be replenished regularly – either through enemy ammo, vending machine purchases, or random ammo refill devices. Use the pistol sparingly, especially when combined with certain skills and abilities that target enemy weaknesses and deal massive amounts of damage.
