Diamond Keys are a potential reward that can be earned by upgrading your Vault Card.
When you’ve completed enough challenges to ‘upgrade’ your Vault Map, you’ll get a Vault Map Chest, which can contain any of the following:
- Diamond keys
- Legendary team
- Beauty products
Borderlands 3 Diamond Keys are very rare, so don’t expect to get one every time you level up a vault card.
How to use diamond keys
Once you have a Diamond Key, you will want to head to the Diamond Armory in Shrine III. This can be found below deck on the top deck.
When you get here, you will find a diamond chest with the words “Choose wisely” written on the front. Use the key to open it and the three walls behind will open.
You now have five minutes to explore all the loot in the room and choose the best gear for your playstyle. You can only pick one piece of gear from each of the three “walls” before it closes.
Once you’ve collected three pieces of gear from the walls, you’ll be able to get one last guaranteed legendary item in the chest in the middle. Take this and go.
