How to Get Destiny 2 Microcosm Exotic Weapons

Adding the Microcosm Exotic weapon to your Destiny 2 arsenal is easy: complete three special co-op missions in Pale Heart. It’s a very simple Exotic weapon quest compared to some others in Destiny 2, and it rewards you with a powerful and very unique Kinetic-damage Trace Rifle that uses heavy ammo and absolutely pierces enemy shields. Here’s everything you need to know about unlocking the Microcosm in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Convalescence: Budding Quest Explained

Convalescence: Budding is a simple Exotic quest that you receive from Micah-10 after completing a few other Convalescence quests. In Budding, you simply need to complete all three Cooperative Focus missions (Ascent, Dissent, and Destiny 2 Iconoclasm) from Destiny 2’s The Final Shape campaign. Once you’ve completed them, you’ll be able to return to Micah in the Gazebo of Light to receive the Microcosm Exotic Kinetic Heavy Tracer Rifle . Be sure to pick up the Destiny 2 Secret Prismatic Fragments in each of these missions, too.

You’ll find three Destiny 2 Cooperative Focus missions as separate activity nodes on the Pale Heart map under the “Replayable Missions” section . Unsurprisingly, the Cooperative Focus modifier emphasizes cooperative play by adding additional mechanics and modifiers. The missions are a bit more challenging in places, requiring you to communicate well with your teammates and pay attention. You’ll want to befriend at least one person, preferably two to make a full three-person team, and make sure you have the ability to talk to each other.

Microcosm is a relatively easy Exotic to obtain in The Final Shape, especially compared to Destiny 2’s Tails, which requires all sorts of collectibles to obtain, most notably Lost Encryption Bits and Traveler’s Visions.
