With the arrival of Pokémon Scarlet / Pokémon Purple , trainers are once again faced with the challenge of completing the Pokédex. However, Paldea is home to many ninth-generation species with unusual (or new) evolutionary methods. One of these cases is Annihilape , the final form in the Mankey/Primeape line: in this guide, we tell you how to get it.
Of course, you need to have a Primeape first . You can get it by evolving it into Mankey at level 28, or by catching it directly in one of the highlighted areas on the map below. Regardless of what the Pokédex says, it’s actually on the ground and at low levels, so it won’t be a difficult task by any means. Once you have it in your party, read on.
Evolving Primeape in Annihilape
Now, you have to use Primeape’s signature move called Fury Punch 20 times. If yours doesn’t have that move learned, then you’ll just need to open the Pokémon’s page and press the “recall” dropdown from the moves menu to teach it again. Once you use it that number of times (whether you win or get it right) you’ll just need to level it up in any way to have it evolve into Annihilape.
If you don’t want to give it unnecessary effort points during battles to evolve it, I recommend that you fight against a normal-type Pokémon so that the move fails about twenty times and the progress counts the same. Then, use a rare candy or an experience candy to level it up and thus you will have it “fresh” to EV at your leisure.

Find Annihilape in Teraraids
In addition to the “old-fashioned” evolution, it is also possible to get Annihilape by defeating one in a Pokémon Scarlet and Purple Teraraid: it appears in 5- and 6-star raids , which are unlocked in the final stretch of the game (during the last medals and after completing certain postgame requirements , respectively). Below these lines you have the complete table of each of the opponents that you can appear. Remember that through the Poképortal > Teraraid function you can access a list of suggestions from other players via the Internet, if you are subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online payment service.
