Palworld is proving to be the most adorable and addictive survival game out there right now. The key to surviving and thriving each day on Palpagos Island isn’t just about catching Pals in the wild or building the biggest base possible, but about accumulating enough tech points to do both of those things and a whole lot more besides.
How to get and use tech points in Palworld
As you progress through Palworld, you will notice that each time you level up, you will receive rewards in the form of Parameter Points and Tech Points. While Parameter Points are used to improve your character’s stats such as HP, Attack, Stamina, etc. Tech Points are used to unlock new and important Tech Crafting recipes, which we will be using quite a bit.
To use your accumulated tech points, it’s very simple. Go to your character’s menu and at the top, you’ll see a tab that says “Technology” . Scroll down to it and you’ll see the full list of unlockable tech recipes available in the game.
At the start, you’ll find the basic tools you’ll need to start building your base, such as a primitive crafting table along with a stone axe to gather wood and fiber or a pickaxe to gather paldium , ore, and stone. Most of the early recipes cost just a couple of tech points .
You can see how many tech points you have available to spend in the bottom left corner of the tech menu, next to your old tech points. Once you know what you want to unlock, click on the recipe and confirm that you want to unlock it . Once unlocked, the recipe will be available for you to craft, provided you have the necessary materials.
Also, keep in mind that not all recipes are used in the same place . Character-focused recipes (Pal Spheres, Armor, Weapons, Materials, etc.) are crafted at the Workbench , while base-focused ones (Structures, Machines, Chests, etc.) are crafted by pressing the “Build” button .
