Humankind is a turn-based strategy title, belonging to the 4X genre. The game has been developed by Amplitude Studios and published by Sega. Humanity is quite similar to the Civilization series. As a player, your job is to take your civilization through the six major eras of human civilization. You should control everything. From developing cities to the control of the armed forces. How your civilization should expand depends on your creativity. All of this happens on a randomly generated virtual planet, by the way.
What makes humanity different is a characteristic, in which you are supposed to select one of the ten types of civilization based on historical societies, within each of the eras. Your selection offers both bonuses and penalties on how the player can build civilization. Because you can select different civilizations as a template to build on, there are potentially a million different civilization patterns that you can ultimately develop.
Enough information about the game, it’s time to talk about some glitches. It hasn’t been long since Humankind was released. But players are already witnessing glitches and launch issues. How to troubleshoot hang and run issues
The good news is that there is a solution, and many users have confirmed that it works. The solution has been recommended by a developer, in fact. Here is what you need to do.
- If you participated in any previous beta version of OpenDevs, remove the previous profiles by deleting the “My Humanity Documents” folder.
- Logitech RGB users must install vcredist 2013 and reboot
That is all you need to do. Many users have tried the method and most have managed to fix it with this. You will find many comments like these:

If the above mentioned method doesn’t work for you, somehow. Then there are some other basic things you can try. Whatever you do, just disable your antivirus software before that, or add Humankind to the “exceptions” list of your antivirus software.
Try running Steam and Humankind.exe as administrator once
- Go to this location: C: steam program files
- Right click> Properties in steam.exe
- Click on the Compatibility tab
- Check “Run this program as administrator”
Then try doing it for Humankind’s .exe file:
- Go to: C: program files steam steamapps common Humankind
- Right click> Properties in Humankind.exe
- Click on the Compatibility tab
- Check “Run this program as administrator”
