  • Clear Google Play Services App Data

  • Reset your Xiaomi cellphone
  1. Clear Google Play Services App Data

The first and the simplest way to solve this problem is to clear the Google Play Services app data on our Xiaomi Mobile.

  • Go to Settings menu > Apps & notifications > Google Play Services > Storage & cache > Manage space > CLEAR ALL DATA

Fear not, this will only delete local data from the Google Play Services app. None of your data is completely deleted, all your files , photos, videos and documents are kept safe.

After all Google Play Services app data is deleted, then this app will re-download all the data it needs.

So make sure your Androbuntu device is connected to the internet.

  1. Grant Google Play Services Permission

Just like other Android apps, Google Play Services also requires permission to access some features of your Android phone. Such as calendar, camera , contacts and others.

You must give Google Play Services permission to access these features for it to run smoothly.

If not, then this application is likely to experience problems, such as constantly stopping on your Xiaomi cellphone.

So, how do you grant permission to the Google Play Services app?

Follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Google Play Services > Permissions

After that check one by one the required permissions, ranging from physical activity, calendar, camera, contacts and others. Give permission so that Google Play Services can access all these features.

  1. Update MIUI to Latest Version

What version of MIUI is used on your Xiaomi cellphone ? If you’re using a version that’s too old, then it’s natural for Google Play Services to have issues.

That’s because there’s too much version difference between Google Play Services and the MIUI you’re using.

So how to solve it?

Of course, by updating the MIUI on your Xiaomi cellphone with the latest version.

Go to settings menu and update your MIUI version. That’s even if your phone gets an update, yes.

If you can’t, alternatively you can use a Custom ROM .

  1. Reset your Xiaomi cellphone

Have you done all the steps above but Google Play Services still keeps stopping on your Xiaomi cellphone?

Don’t give up. There is still one more thing you can do, which is to reset your Xiaomi cellphone to factory settings.

But only do this if you understand what a factory reset means. If you do this, you know that all your data will be erased, and your Xiaomi cellphone will return to “sacred” as it was when it came out of the factory.

Backing up data is something that must be done before doing the following. Or, you will lose all your data forever.

Ready? Immediately follow the tutorial below:

  • Go to the Settings menu > System > Reset options > Factory reset > Wipe all data

Wait a few minutes until all the data on your Xiaomi cellphone is deleted. The more data you have on your cellphone, the longer it will take.

Now use your Xiaomi cellphone as usual. Google Play Services should now be running without any problems.
