FIFA Ultimate Team, or FUT, is the most popular mode in EA’s soccer series. By tasking players to collect different ‘player cards’ to build their dream team, and then compete against other players in online matches to earn more rewards, players are always eager to start their team-building journey. The FIFA 23 Web App is available, but some players are frustrated by a ‘Getting Started’ error stating that players need to create a FIFA 23 FUT Club before they can use the Web App itself. But, without the game, players are confused on how they can fix this error.
What is the web application error message?
When you sign in to the web application, you may have received the following error message:
“It appears that your EA account does not have a FUT 23 Club. Before you continue, make sure you’re signed in with the correct account. To use the FIFA Companion App or Web App, you will need to create a FUT 23 club on your console or PC.”
The message then says that you can fix the problem by doing any of the following:
- Log in to FIFA 23 on your console or PC.
- Sign back into the FIFA 23 Companion App or Web App to start managing your club on the go!
How To Fix EA Account Does Not Have FUT 23 Club Error In FIFA 23 Web App;How to fix FIFA 23 web app not working
The problem here is that, at the time of writing, FIFA 23 is not yet available for consoles or PC, so players cannot do the first suggested solution that the web application suggests.
However, what we can recommend is to log out of the web app by clicking the ‘Cog’ icon in the bottom left corner of the screen to open the Settings menu and then selecting ‘Log Out’.
Now go ahead and log back in. We have had some success signing in with our PlayStation/Xbox/Original account, rather than signing in directly to our EA account.
Even so, this still doesn’t seem to be working for all players.
It’s worth noting that you must have played FIFA 22 Ultimate Team on your EA account in order to gain access. If you didn’t, no matter what, you’ll have to wait for the game to launch for the Web and Companion apps to work.
If you played FIFA 22 Ultimate Team and are still encountering the error, unfortunately you will have to sit still and wait. The issue is widespread, and was noted by several gamers in response to the official Twitter account’s tweet about the web app going live.
This suggests that the error is not an issue with your account, but could instead be a bug on EA’s side, possibly related to migrating account information from FIFA 22 to FIFA 23.
For now, we recommend just sitting back and waiting. Please try again later today and hopefully EA will implement a fix for the issue.
