The steps described below are also suitable for resetting Android smartphones.
Let’s look at the process using the Huawei P30 Lite as an example:
- Go to “Settings” and select the “System and updates” section;
- Click on “Reset” and select “Restore factory settings”.
Remember that you won’t be able to cancel the process once it’s started, and all data will be erased. If you need it, make a backup of the necessary information. We talked about this in more detail in a separate article .
Reset via recovery
If the tablet does not turn on due to a software failure, you can reset it to factory settings using Recovery Mode. Usually, you can get into it as follows:
- Hold down the power button and the volume + key until recovery loads;
- In the menu that appears, look for the Wipe Data or Factory Reset item;
- Click on Yes.
Again, remember that the names of the menu items, as well as the method of activating Recovery, may differ on different devices. The time required for a reset also varies depending on the gadget. Usually it is 10-20 minutes.
