- Type the password for the private key.
- On the Files to Export page, type the path and name of the exported digital certificate,and then click Next.
- The file name has a .pfx extension. This is the .pfx file that is imported to other PC or Android computer, tablet or mobile.
- Finish the process with the Finish button
- The export certificate fileis saved with the name you specified and a .pfx extension.

- The name of the Program should say Crypto Shell Extensionsand the publisher should say, Microsoft Windows and if not, it says otherwise you need updates.
- If this is correct, click the Allow button to continue.
Steps to Follow with the Wizard
- When you start the Microsoft Windows or other Certificate ImportWizard , you will see the welcome screen (shown below). On this screen, you can click the Next button.
- The File to Importscreen will then appear . By default, the Import Wizard has already selected the location to install to. Go to Next.
- On the next screen, you will need to enter a passwordfor the certificate. If you don’t know the key for your QuoVadis digital certificate, please contact QuoVadis support. Keep in mind that this key must be taken into account when exporting a digital certificate.
- After you enter your password, you will see that you have three checkboxes. These are optional, however you may want to check them out based on whether you want additional features and security.
- The next Certify Store selection screen.
- While installing .p12 or .pfx files, you can leave the default as Automatically select certificate store based on type.
- On the next screen you will receive a summary of some of the options you have chosen.
- When you’re ready, go to Finish at the bottom.
- You will then receive a small window confirming the installation of the certificate.
- When you’re done, click the OK button.
The good thing is that the process of importing or exporting a digital certificate is very similar. So you will not have problems to do each of the processes.
