People Can Fly’s latest Outriders game, and hopefully the best, has arrived. Gamers who love a frenzied but tactical brand of third-person shooter mixed with a story that has Mass Effect Andromeda vibes should have this one on their radar. However, if you’re here, you’ve probably already started researching with the demo or main game, and are wondering how you can trade and equip your skills in Outriders .
Here is what you need to know.
How to equip and trade skills in Outriders
Outriders contains four classes, each with its own set of skills that sets them apart from the rest. The Techomancer is more tactical, the Trickster is stealthy, the Pyromancer takes care of crowd control, and the Devastator likes to get close to him.
As you play and level up, you will unlock skills. To equip the new abilities you gain, tap Show on Xbox or the trackpad on PlayStation to open your character menu. From there, navigate to Skills and you will see all the available skills.
It takes a while to unlock them all, and you need to unlock more than three to add new ones to your action bar at the bottom of the screen.
Once you have access to four or more skills, select the skill you want to equip. Then press and hold A on Xbox or X on PlayStation. After that, drag the skill you want to replace and it will switch places.
You can swap equipped abilities to change your button input by doing the same. Simply drag and drop one of your three already equipped abilities to swap places.
