Here’s how to enable two-step authentication on Epic Games
Enabling two-factor authentication can be very helpful in preventing someone from having to go through an extra barrier in the hypothetical case that someone has obtained our password by adding a code that only reaches our mobile device , making it impossible for them to log in.
To activate this option, we will have to log in to our Epic Games account through the launcher and click on our profile icon located in the upper right area of the window. Once this is done, a drop-down menu will open and we will have to select the Account option so that it opens in our default browser.
Next, go to the ” Password & Security ” tab. You will most likely receive an email or SMS to your mobile for security. Once inside, you will have to click on the configure button in any of the three available options , which in this case are via email, SMS to the mobile or through an app such as Google Authentication.
Once you’ve finished setting it up, every time you want to log in to your account you’ll have to enter the code that comes to you in the app.
