Activating this protocol in Windows is very easy, the first thing you should do is enter the Shared Resources Center , for that you can do it, entering the Windows menu and typing in the Search Network Center of shared resources, entering the Panel of control or simply by clicking on the internet connection icon and there click on Open Network Sharing Center.

Once in that window you will look in the upper left part of the window for the option Change adapter configuration and you will click it, this will open another window where all the connections will be seen, there you will choose yours to configure it

When you do this, a window will open where all the information about your internet connection is, there you will click the button that says Properties , you must have Administrator permissions to be able to edit these properties.

There in the list of options you will look for the one that says Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP / IPv4) and click it, then activate the options Obtain IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically and that’s all, you will already have the DHCP protocol enabled.

If you want to disable it, you must activate the options Use this address and Use this DNS address and there you must manually enter these data. An incorrect IP address setting could make the internet slow or unstable or simply render it inoperative, although there may be other reasons why your internet is slow or unstable .
