How to eat healthy during Eid

During the holy Eid, both the variety and quantity of food is more. But one has to be a little careful about eating on the day of Eid after fasting for a month.

A healthy adult weighing 70 kg can eat 250-300 grams of meat throughout the day. However, if there is another source of protein, the amount of meat should be reduced. By eating one egg and two to three cups of medium thick pulses throughout the day, you can eat about 200 grams of meat. That too should not be eaten all at once, but should be divided into two to three meals a day. Along with this, you must have some vegetables or salad with each meal.

Eating more fish, meat, or protein-based foods than required can lead to physical problems such as constipation, increased blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, piles, fissures, uric acid, etc.

Kidney patients should reduce their intake of first-class protein by 30-50 percent. Red meat is slightly higher in sodium. Therefore, it is better to eat chicken instead of beef and pork. Eat less seed-based foods such as lentils, lentil dishes, bean sprouts, jackfruit, peas, beans, etc. Eat less salt and avoid salty foods.

People with heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol should eat less beef and mutton. Skinless chicken or duck can be eaten. Meat can be eaten in moderation without broth, except for the white fat that sticks to the surface of beef or mutton. It is better to avoid foods made with ghee, dalda, and butter.

● Diabetic patients should avoid sweets or desserts. Choose spicy or salty foods. Most diabetics have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Therefore, it is better to avoid fried and oily foods.

● If you have high uric acid, do not eat too much duck, beef, or mutton. Do not eat liver, brain, fish eggs, or intestines.

● If you have fatty liver, eat less oily and fatty foods. Eat fish and meat without broth. Eat rice, bread or other carbohydrates in moderation.

● IBS patients should not eat milk and milk products. They can be eaten if cooked in lactose-free milk.
