How to Easily Craft an Axe in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
As you explore the vast world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you may come across an axe or two in the wilderness during your travels, especially in areas where trees are abundant.
However, this useful weapon and tool will not always be within your reach , and you may need it at some point when there is none nearby…
Luckily, with the Combination skill we can craft an axe ourselves , but only if the necessary materials are nearby.
Actually, making an axe is very easy as you only need the following two ingredients:
- Any melee weapon .
- A stone of nature.
Be careful, it is very important to make a distinction here . Not just any stone will do. In nature you will come across large boulders that are not suitable for making an axe. That is obvious. What may not be so obvious at first is the difference between a small rock and a stone .
Look carefully, as only stones are used to create axes , not rocks. Here you can see the visual difference between both materials:
As you can see, the stones have sharper, almost triangular edges , while the rocks are more rounded.
You will need a stone to create an axe. In principle, it doesn’t matter which weapon you use in the combination, you can use a wooden stick, a club, a sword or even a spear… The point is that as long as you fuse it with a stone, you will get a more or less resistant axe to cut down trees.
Instead, remember that if you attach a weapon to a rock or boulder you will get a weapon ideal for bursting cracked walls , but not an axe.
That said, small stones used to make axes are sometimes scarce or hard to find (depending on the area you’re in, they won’t even appear). You’ll need to be careful while exploring so you don’t miss them. We recommend that you expand your inventory and weapon bag as soon as you can, and always carry at least one axe with you , as they are the best type of weapon available for quickly and efficiently chopping down tree trunks or even breaking open wooden crates containing resources.
