The free shooter game Valorant is now available in closed beta and uses Riot’s own anti-cheat software to prevent hackers from making the game their home. But how do you download it?

Valorant Riot Vanguard Anti-Cheat
From what we can tell, Riot Vanguard’s anti-cheat software can only be downloaded as part of the Valorant installation process on your computer.
There is currently no separate download source for the Vanguard anti-cheat program, which means that if you don’t have access to the Valorant closed beta, you’ll have to wait before installing it.
Lucky players may still be eligible for the Valorant Closed Beta via Twitch drops, which also gives them a chance to see how well Vanguard is doing its job.
If you want to uninstall Valorant’s Voraard anti-cheat software, you just need to go to Control Panel -> Uninstall a program, then find Riot Vanguard and click Uninstall.
Riot Vanguard now also has an icon that appears in the system tray while it is running. Players can use the icon to disable the anti-cheat program, however this will prevent you from playing Valorant until you restart your computer.
The system tray icon also allows you to uninstall Riot Vanguard by right-clicking on it, hovering over Advanced and selecting Uninstall Vanguard.
If you choose to uninstall it, Valorant will automatically reinstall Vanguard on next boot.
Currently disabling or uninstalling Vanguard is the only way to get around blocking certain software on your computer.
Valorant is currently available on PC in closed beta.
