How To download any video from the Internet

Video consumption on the Internet has grown exponentially in recent years. This year Google carried out a survey among 12,000 Internet users whose objective was to find out the reasons that had caused this growth, which is already part of our daily lives.

The study highlights that more than half of the users cannot imagine the Internet without consuming videos. In addition, it reflects that the majority use videos to relax, while another large percentage use it to learn new things or delve deeper into subjects that interest them.

Nowadays, streaming transmissions are the queens for this type of entertainment, since we usually always have an available and stable Internet connection, but what happens when it is not? What if what we want is to take that video that we like so much and download it to our computer to watch it whenever we want without depending on having or not having a connection?

In this case, the option is to download the content from the Internet, something that we can do even if the site where it is hosted does not offer the direct download option. If you want to know how to download any video from the Internet, we recommend that you continue reading.

Download with Google Chrome

The easiest way to download from the Google browser is by using the browser’s development option “Inspect elements of the web page.”

  • To do this, open any page (even Facebook or Instagram) that contains a video that you want to download and then press the right button of the mouse.
  • A context menu will open with various options.
  • Click on the “Inspect” option  that will appear at the bottom or press Control + Shift + I on your keyboard.
  • The Inspect panel will now open on the right side of Chrome  , showing all the resources on that web page. Click on “Elements”.
  • Now we have to find the video code. To do this, press Control + F  to open a search in Chrome and in the text box type “.mp4” without the quotes to display the video code.
  • Once it is selected, click on the video again with the right button and choose the option to open video in a new window.
  • With the video open again, click on ” Save video as”.  This will open a window on your computer for you to choose where and under what name you want to save the video.

Download with Firefox

If instead of Chrome you use the open source browser, Firefox, you can also download videos very simply from any Internet site you want. First of all, you just have to open the browser and download one of the add-ons that Mozilla offers for it.

We recommend that you use Video DonwloadHelper because it downloads quickly and is very intuitive to use, but there are many more.

Having said that, go to the download page and click on the download button. If you try to download a video now, the program will tell you that you need to add a complementary application. Click on the link that the browser itself will offer to download and install this tool.

Now that you have everything ready, you just have to open the page where the video is, for example, YouTube and click on the icon of the three colored balls that you can see in the upper right margin of the browser. When you do, you will see that a menu appears with the name of the video and a black arrow. Click on it to start the video download on your computer and wait for it to finish to be able to play it.

With third party services

In addition to these main browser options, we may also choose to use third-party online services. The ones that we are going to show you here are completely safe so you can use them without fear of any type of malware being installed on your computer.

Savefrom.net

This site is one of the most popular in terms of Internet downloads. To use it we have two ways.

The first is to access your website and in the search bar paste the link of the video that we have previously copied. Once it detects it, a download window will appear with different sizes. Choose in what quality you want the video to be downloaded to your computer and press “download” to start the process.

The second way is also very simple, although it only works for videos hosted on YouTube. On the video page, instead of copying its URL, remove the leading part (https: // www.) From it and replace it with SS. Once you do this, the Savefrom.net page will automatically open and you will only have to choose the quality and start the download.

Videocyborg

Another simple online tool for downloading videos is Videocyborg . As with Savefrom.net, all you have to do is paste the URL of the video to start the download. Once the process is finished, the next thing you should do is click on the “DOWNLOAD YOUR VIDEO” button and it will automatically download to your computer.
