How to disable Bixby on the Power button on your Galaxy phone

Owners of Galaxy phones launched from 2020 here, such as the Galaxy A51, A71 or Galaxy S20, may have encountered a nice inconvenience when turning off the phone: the Bixby , which is activated by default when we press the traditional Power button. The Samsung uses this device so that more people know the wizard, since there is no longer an exclusive button for her.

The command to turn off the phone became another: press the volume down button and the Power button, for a few seconds at the same time. But if you didn’t like this new pattern, the good news is that it is possible to remap the Power button to turn off the smartphone normally. See how to do this in the following steps.

Ready! From now on, whenever you press and hold the Power button for a few seconds, you can turn off your smartphone normally, without activating Bixby.

It is worth mentioning that, if you have already configured Bixby on your cell phone, it will still be possible to activate the assistant through the voice command “Hi, Bixby!”. If you want, you can disable the feature by going to your phone’s Settings and searching for “Bixby Voice”.
