How to disable address bar search suggestions in Google Chrome

When you start typing a query or a website link into the Google Chrome address bar, the browser displays several search suggestions below the bar. If you’re not a big fan of these suggestions, you can turn them off. Let’s show you how.

If disabling images in search suggestions isn’t enough, Chrome will stop offering any suggestions retrieved from your default search engine after you make this change. All suggestions from your browsing history, however, will still appear.

This method works for any search engine used in Chrome, including Google and Bing.
