How to destroy the abandoned shrine barrier in Genshin Impact
We covered the beginning of this quest line in our guide on how to get the Memento Lens, so check it out if you haven’t yet reached the part of the quest line that takes you to Shrine by Narukami.
After talking to the Shrine Maiden Inagi Hotomi and getting the Souvenir Lens, return to the abandoned shrine near Konda Village and use the lens on the tiny glowing Earth Kitsune figurines found throughout the area. There are six in all.
All of the figurines look like the one next to Razor in the image below, and they’re easy to find due to the small delimited in-game search box on your map.
After you’ve scanned all of them with the lens, go back to the main statue of Kitsune surrounded by candles and say the lines provided in this order:
- “On behalf of Narukami’s envoy.”
- “And from the hakushin line.”
- “Bring the fried tofu!” “
Go down the cliff to the right of the statue to find the door that leads to the barrier that needs to be destroyed. It is located next to a body of water on the map.
Use the old key that you obtained from the well in Konda village earlier in this quest line to open the door that leads to an underground shrine. There is another puzzle waiting for you that looks like the one in the well.
This time, adjust the small shrines so that the middle one has two symbols on top and the ones at the edges of the room have three symbols on top.
Once again, an enemy will appear just as the puzzle is solved. A mysterious samurai will attack immediately. The samurai does a bit more damage and uses Pyro, but this battle shouldn’t be a problem either, as well as Well’s.
