Before getting to the nitty-gritty of the tutorial and explaining how to delete photos sent to WhatsApp, it is my duty to give you some preliminary information about it.
Let’s start from one point of view: deleting the photos and images sent in WhatsApp conversations is always feasible, but depending on your needs and the time spent for it, you can perform the deletion for all users who participate in the chat or just for you.
So, in the first case, the photos you sent will no longer be available to other users, while in the second case they will continue to be available and the participants in the conversation will continue to see them (they will only disappear from your chat screen). To delete photos (and messages) for other people as well, you must intervene before they see the content you have sent.

How to delete photos sent on WhatsApp on Android

To get started, take your device, unlock it, go to the home screen or drawer and select the WhatsApp icon (the one with the green cartoon and the phone’s earpiece).
On the screen you see now, select the Chat tab at the top and tap the conversation you are interested in acting on. Then, start scrolling the chat screen to locate the photo you have sent and want to delete.
Once you’ve found the message containing the photo you sent and want to get rid of it, press and hold it for a moment, then tap the trash can icon at the top and choose Delete for all (if it’s still available) o Delete for me in the menu that appears, taking into account the information I gave you at the beginning of this guide.
If you wish, you can also delete several photos at the same time, by clicking on the other images for which you are interested in acting after selecting the first one and proceed in the same way that I have already explained.
If you can’t find the photo you want to delete, or if you don’t want to delete it, you can do it this way: touch the name of the user or group at the top of the chat screen, select Media, links and documents and touch the Media tab .
When you find the photos you want to delete, press and hold the first image that interests you so that it is marked with a check mark, then select the others and tap the trash can icon at the top. Finally, choose, in the box that appears, if you want to delete the photos for everyone (if possible) or just for yourself.
If you want to prevent multimedia files from remaining in the device memory, before proceeding to delete the photos as indicated above, also check the box next to Delete multimedia in this chat from the deletion menu.

How to delete photos sent in WhatsApp on iPhone
Do you have an iPhone and would you like to know how to delete photos posted on WhatsApp in that case? Next, take your device, unlock it, go to the home screen and select the WhatsApp application icon (the one with the green cartoon and the white phone earpiece).
On the app screen you’re viewing now, select Chat at the bottom, and then tap the conversation to which you sent the photo you want to delete. Then scroll the chat screen looking for the photo that interests you.
Next, tap on the message that contains the photo and keep holding it for a few moments, then select Delete from the menu that appears, tap on the garbage can symbol that appears in the lower left and choose, according to the clarifications made At the beginning of the article, the option Delete for all (if available) or Delete for me.
If necessary, you can also delete more than one photo at the same time by placing a check mark next to them after selecting the first one. The rest of the steps are identical to what I mentioned before.
If you can’t find the photo you want to delete, or if you don’t want to delete it, you can proceed as follows: click on the name of the user or group at the top of the chat screen and then on Media, links and documents.
Then select the Media tab at the top, locate the photos you want to delete, tap on the Select heading, at the top right, and put a check mark on their correspondence, then click on the trash can icon located at the bottom right and choose, in the menu that opens, the option to delete photos for everyone (if possible) or just for you.
After deleting certain photos from chat, if they are present in your iPhone memory, you can consider deleting them from there as well.
How to delete photos sent on WhatsApp on your computer
In conclusion, let’s see how to delete photos sent to WhatsApp from your computer. First, launch the WhatsApp application on your computer by selecting the WhatsApp shortcut from the Start menu (on Windows) or its icon attached to the Launchpad (on MacOS). If you want to use WhatsApp Web, instead, launch the browser you usually use to browse the Web from your PC (for example, Chrome) and go to your home page.
At this point, if you haven’t already done so, scan the QR code that appears on the screen to connect to your account. If you don’t know how to do it, open the WhatsApp application on your smartphone and proceed as follows.
If you’re using Android, tap the vertical three-dot button in the upper right corner and select WhatsApp Web from the menu.
If you are using an iPhone, tap Settings at the bottom right and then tap WhatsApp Web.
