How to delete all messages from a Zoom video conference chat?

Delete with mobile

To delete the messages, the administrator must first make the video call and authorize your entry. Once there you will be able to see the general messages or that they send you to the private one.

If you are connected from a mobile you can delete the chats of a specific contact. You must do it by entering contacts and selecting the conversation, click on one of your messages and choose delete. So you can do with all the messages you want.

Deleting messages with the PC

If you joined the meeting from a PC , the steps to follow are very similar. You must be in the meeting and choose the contact you want to delete the conversation from. Choose a message and hold it down until the delete option appears. And repeat the same procedure with all the messages you want to disappear.

What to do to delete private messages from Zoom?

To send a message you must click on Chat. You will find this option in the meeting controls. This action will open a message window where you can write a message for everyone connected or look in the menu and select if you want to send a message to a specific person.

If your intention is to delete the messages of a specific contact that were sent privately, you just have to repeat the steps that we already mentioned. But you must take into account the way you saved the messages . Since they can be saved on the computer either manually or automatically or in the cloud.

How to know if a person can find out about messages that were deleted in Zoom?

If you want to know if a person found out that you deleted some messages, you must take into account several factors. First, if the person has already read the chat, they will only be able to see that the message was deleted, but they will already know what you wrote. Now if the person didn’t read the chat before you deleted it, then they won’t be able to see the items in question.

You should also know that when you delete a message, the other participants will not see the notification on their screens, they will only be able to find out if they enter the chat.

How to find the list of deleted Zoom messages?

As we already mentioned, the messages of a meeting are saved automatically or manually. If you save them on your computer, you can see the chats that were sent only to you and those that were sent to everyone who participated in the meeting. So  if you want to find the list you just have to choose between those two options .

However, if the chats were saved in the cloud, you will be able to see only the messages that were sent to the participants in general and that were sent during the meeting. Therefore, you will not be able to access private messages and see which ones were deleted.

How to remove Zoom chat access from a user in a meeting?

The administrator or host controls who can send a message and if any participant is causing problems, they can remove that access. For this you must enter the chat and at the bottom click on the More option, choose the user so that you cannot start a conversation with other users in the meeting.
