The first thing you should do is open the search engine with the previously created Gmail account. If you don’t have it, take the opportunity to create a Gmail account before continuing. To be able to create the external account you have to go to “Options” and click on Settings / Accounts and import.

You must make two different configurations: one to be able to receive emails from an external server and another to be able to use that new email or domain to send information to your clients or acquaintances, without having the Gmail that comes by default.

To configure the consultation of emails from other accounts , you click on “Add an email account”. It will open a window in which you must enter the email you want to use and press “Next”.

You will see two options; choose to import all mails you have in the server and again press Next . In the window that will open next, you must register the connection data. It is possible to locate them in the hosting.

If it is not visible to the naked eye, press the “More” button to locate the option in question. In this section you can use the manual configuration to select:

  1. Secure SS / TLS Configuration (Recommended)
  2. Different SSL configuration (Not recommended)

Choose the first option. You will be able to obtain the data related to the incoming server and the mail server.

On the incoming server we find the POP *** data, where Gmail is configured to receive emails. And the mail server that gives us the SMTP *** data, will help us to use our domain from Gmail to send emails.

The first thing you need to enter the POP *** data is to copy the username, password and the mail server. The password is the one you put in your email when you created it; If you don’t remember it, you can always recover your Gmail password easily. Then enter the username and password to obtain the SMTP information ***. To do this you go to ¨Server entry¨. Then you enter the corresponding POP *** data.

You will find it in the data you previously accessed. You will see some extra options that you will have to assess whether you activate them or not. By giving ¨Add account¨ , one will appear with your Gmail domain to receive the emails.

If you want to put “Send message as” (the default email), you will receive a request for a verification code. That code will be sent to the email account you have configured. You just have to enter your Gmail account, locate the confirmation code, copy it and paste it where they request it.
