To create WhatsApp groups where only administrators can send messages, follow these simple steps:
- Open the messaging app on your mobile, either Android, iPhone or web version.
- Enter a group that you have created, or of which you are an administrator, and click on the name.
- A menu with options opens and you have to look for Group settings. If you do not see that option it is because you are not an administrator of the chat.
- Inside you will see 3 options Send messages, Edit group information and Designate administrators.
- Choose the Send messagesoption and select Administrators only .
Once you change that setting, all participants will be informed with a message within the group. Besides, those who are not administrators will not see the text input bar when opening the chat.
From now on, only administrators will be able to write, the rest of the participants will only be able to read. If you want to return the group to its normal state, you just have to do the steps again and check the All participants option, so that everything returns to normal.
