Learn how to craft ammo in Starfield with this comprehensive guide. Gather resources, unlock the crafting station, and manage your supply to succeed in the game.
All the steps you need to complete and perform, in order to be able to make a great set of ammunition for your adventure in Starfield.
Starfield received a major update in June , bringing with it a number of changes that you’ll appreciate, as well as the relevant fixes and performance improvements.
In addition to new types of side missions, another new feature in this update is the ability to craft ammunition .We’re going to have to follow a series of steps to craft ammunition in Starfield , first by completing ammunition projects and then obviously by going to the relevant industrial workbenches.
How to Craft Ammo in Starfield
The first step to crafting ammo is to research the blueprints available in the research lab .
Don’t worry, there are several laboratories throughout the game, mostly in important buildings or in the Frontier itself.
There are three levels of Ammo Projects and each level unlocks a variety of ammunition.
These are the three levels of Ammunition Projects that exist:
Ammunition Project 1
- Requires 7x Copper, 7x Lead, 5x Small Primer materials.
- Thanks to this you will unlock this ammunition: .27 Caliber (14), .45 Caliber ACP (12), 12G Shotgun Shells (6), 3KV LZR Shell (11), 6.5mm TC (10), 7.62x39MM (20), 7.77mm (11) and 9x39MM (20).
Ammunition Project 2
- Requires materials such as 1x Copper, 10x Lead, 8x Large Primer, 8x Steel Cable.
- This will unlock the following ammo: .43 MI Matrix (12), .43 Ultramag (9), 1.5KV LZR Round (18), 11MM (10), 12.5mm ST (6), Shotgun Shells (10) and Light Particle Fuse (16).
Ammunition Project 3
- Requires materials 10x charged diodes, 10x magnetic diodes, 20x isocentered magnets, 20x positron battery.
- You unlock this ammo: .50 Caiber (12), .50 MI Matrix (40), 15×25 CLL Shotgun Shells (12), 40MM XPL (1), 6.5mm MI Matrix (12), 7.5mm (7) and Heavy Particle Fuse (16).
Once you have completed some of the above ammo projects, you can now visit any Industrial Workbench to craft the ammo that we have already unlocked .
Note that each ammo requires several unique materials to craft, although you likely already have all of them in your inventory.
However, there are a few materials that are new and are required in these research projects, specifically, we are referring to the large and small pistons or primers and also the charged diodes. You can buy all of them from the merchants on the main planets.
So now you know the process to first unlock each of the ammunition with the blueprints, and then craft them by having the required materials.
