How to connect wireless headphones to a computer or laptop

The last few years can be considered a full-fledged flourishing of wireless devices: headphones, mice, keyboards, portable speakers, etc. Nowadays, such gadgets can boast a long battery life and a bunch of additional conveniences in operation.

If you only need to perform a couple of actions to connect a Bluetooth headset to a smartphone, then in the case of a PC and laptop, you will need a little more steps. In the article, we will consider each of the cases.

How to Connect Wireless Headphones to PC (Windows 10)

If your PC has a Bluetooth module installed, do the following:

  1. Disconnect the headphones from other devices;
  2. Put the headphones into search mode (see the manufacturer’s instructions for how to do this);
  3. Click on “Start” in the lower left corner;
  4. Open “Settings”;
  5. Go to the “Devices” tab;
  6. Click on “Add Bluetooth or other device”;
  7. Click on the line “Bluetooth”;
  8. Find the name of your headphones in the list provided (also indicated in the manufacturer’s instructions) and click on it.

If after the fifth step you get some error, it means that the Bluetooth module is missing from the computer. However, the situation can be fixed – for this you will need to buy an external Bluetooth adapter that connects to the USB slot. The necessary drivers will install themselves after the first connection of the adapter to the PC.
