Connect Roomba to Alexa
The procedure for connecting Roomba to Alexa is not all that different from those for other smart vacuum cleaners. You will first have to configure the Roomba vacuum cleaner to connect to the home Wifi network and create a Roomba account and then enable the Roomba skill for Alexa.
First, download the free iRobot home app (available for android and iOS ) on your smartphone .
Connect the charging station to the power supply in a place in the house that is well covered by the Wifi network. For the next step you will need to use the Bluetooth connection so make sure it is active on your smartphone.
Open the app, select the country and click on continue; on the next screen click on Accept to accept the terms of service
If you are not yet registered on the iRobot site, click on Sign up to create an account which is absolutely necessary to connect Roomba to Alexa. Fill in all the fields and click on Create an account. Keep the chosen password as you will need it later to connect Roomba to Alexa.
Well, the first step of connecting Roomba to Alexa is complete; now you need to configure the Wifi network on your Roomba. The app will automatically search for your Roomba via Bluetooth and once found it will ask you to give it a name; write the name and press on continue.
Now you will have to choose from the list of Wifi networks detected your home network and then you will have to enter the Wi-Fi network password.
