Cox is an Internet Service Provider that distributes the Internet via coaxial cable, with television and telephone services. Cox includes a cable modem with its service that converts the RF signal from over to coax to Ethernet. The cable modem is designed to connect to a single computer. By connecting the Cox cable modem to a router, you can share the Internet connection between multiple computers and devices on site.

- Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the Cox cable modem.
Turn on the cable modem and wait two minutes for the synchronization signal. - Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the “Internet” or “WAN” port on the router.
- Power on the router and wait 30 seconds for it to initialize.
- Connect networked computers and devices to the router with Ethernet cables or wirelessly if the router has wireless capabilities.
