How to clean your PS5 from the outside

How to clean your PS5 inside
Now that we have seen how we can clean our console on the outside, let’s see how to do the same with its interior, especially with those deep holes under the covers and the fan.
Before anything else, remember to disconnect all cables. Now place the console on a smooth surface like a table or desk.
Remove the covers
Removing the covers on this console is very simple, but we must still be very careful when doing it. First of all, lay down the console in such a way that, if you are in front of it, the PS5 logo is on your left side and furthest from your body. Now gently lift up from the protrusion just above the logo and you have the first case out.
Next, we will do the same with the other case. Flip the console over and you will have to keep the other ledge to your right and the part furthest from you. Gently lift up to remove this second shell.
Leave both shells in a safe area to avoid dropping, scratching, or breaking the tabs that hold them to the body of the console. After doing this, you will be able to access the main fan of the console and all the huge holes that collect dust. We recommend that you use a handheld vacuum cleaner to remove the dirt, since if you use compressed air you run the risk that it will only be removed and remain inside when you put the covers back on.
In addition to the vacuum, you can use ear buds to remove any possible dust that has accumulated on the fan and in the holes. Finally, wipe the surface with the dry microfiber cloth that does not have any alcohol because it could damage the components. With this you can remove all the dust that is still deposited on the components.
When you think that you have completely finished cleaning the interior of the console, you will only have to replace the covers. To do this, lay the device back on a flat surface and match the tabs on the shells with the holes in the body. Press gently and firmly until you feel they have clicked.
How to keep your PS5 clean
Like everything in life, the most important part of cleaning your PS5 is not having to clean it regularly. This means that the ideal is that you try to keep it as clean as possible in your day to day. Here are some tips to do it.
- Put it in a suitable place: If possible, try to place the console in very small spaces or on the floor. You will prevent dust from accumulating by placing the console in an open, visible space.
- Clean your hands: Try to handle the console and controller with clean hands. If you are going to play, wash your hands first to avoid depositing dirt and debris on the console. If possible, place the console out of your cat’s reach, as pet hairs easily get into the holes. Place your console away from any pets you have.
