How to check the privacy labels of the apps

Apple has launched its new privacy nutrition labels for iOS apps for both first-party and third-party apps. Here’s how to check iOS app privacy details for apps found in the App Store and for those preloaded on iPhone and iPad that aren’t on the store. This way you will know for sure how the information collected by the apps is used.

Apple first introduced its new iOS app privacy details initiative during WWDC in June 2020 . They are now officially available in the App Store, for both Apple apps and third-party software, also featured on Apple’s website for their own apps that aren’t on the App Store, because they are pre-installed apps.

Apple likens the privacy details of its iOS apps to food nutrition labels. Apple’s goal with this initiative is to better inform users about the privacy practices of individual applications. The privacy labels of the iOS apps are divided into three parts: data used to track the user, data collected related to the user, and data not linked to the user.
