How to Capture Pals in Palworld

We teach you how to unlock and craft Pal Balls to be able to capture wild Pals, along with how you can increase your capture chances to 100%.

Palworld is characterized as an open-world survival and crafting game, sharing similarities with titles like Minecraft, Zelda, and even Lego Fortnite. Strongly inspired by Pokémon, Palworld populates its vast environment with various creatures that can be captured and used in combat, though you can also put them to work for you at your base.

As the game is heavily inspired by Pokémon, capturing Pals is quite similar to it, as the way to catch Pals in Palworld is by throwing a Pal Ball at them , an object very similar to PokéBalls, not to mention that the balls also come in different types , such as Mega Balls.

How to unlock the Pal Sphere in Palworld

At the beginning of the game, it won’t be very clear how to get a couple of them to start capturing Pals, so the first thing you have to do to unlock a Pal Sphere will be to build a primitive workbench .

Once built, you’ll need to head to the Technology tab in the menu by pressing the Tab button on PC and the Options button on Xbox. There, you can unlock the Pal Sphere along with other objects and structures that you’ll need in the following hours of gameplay.

Now all you have to do is go to the workbench and select the pal sphere. You will have to build it yourself, though, and pick it up when you’ve finished making it.

How to Capture Pals in Palworld

Take out your Sphere by holding the Q key on PC or the RB button on Xbox and aim it at a wild Pal , you will see an interface that shows the capture percentage to successfully catch it, although if you do not manage to capture the Pal on the first try, it will break free and become hostile, but you can always try again by throwing another sphere at it.

The best way to increase your chances of success is to weaken the Pal , either by using your fists, picks, bats, or any weapon that deals damage. You’ll find that the chance percentage increases significantly by casting another Sphere after weakening him.
