How to build Lucy from Edgerunners in Cyberpunk 2077

Netflix’s latest video game anime adaptation is an absolute hit, and its success has once again put the Cyberpunk 2077 universe in the spotlight. Called Edgerunners, the spin-off show introduces a bunch of really cool new characters in a cool story that has seen Players return to the CDPR game in droves for a new game. If you’re one of the many interested in learning how to build Lucy from Edgerunners in Cyberpunk 2077 then here’s what you need to know.

Lucy Edgerunners Cyberpunk 2077 Build

Weapons, Cyberdeck and Cyberware

Two important features of Lucy that fans of Edgerunners will appreciate are that she is a Netrunner and a Master of the Monowire weapon, so we will be basing our builds around these core elements. So her first port of call is to get the weapon and get a Cyberdeck so she can start creating a Netrunner/Intelligence build style:

  • Monowire– Purchased from Ripper Docs in the Downtown areas (Legendary – 45 Street Cred, $30.00) and Kabuki Slums (Rare – 25 Street Cred, $13,000).
  • Cyber Deck– If you’re creating a brand new character from the start of the game, you’ll need to start small and work your way up to the best Cyberdecks in the game. We recommend the Netwatch Mk. 5, which can be purchased from Doc. Rider in Wellsprings for 40 Street Cred and $30,000. There are cheaper Cyberdecks that can be bought at the Ripper Doc’s Kabuki Market there for half the price.

Now that we have our two main items, let’s add something a little different to give our Lucy an edge in combat. Technically speaking, Lucy doesn’t use any sort of optical camouflage, but she does dazzle her enemies with movement and often runs circles around them in the Edgerunners, so if you want to do the same in Cyberpunk 2077, we’d suggest opting for the invisibility. This is going to simulate that same style of combat that she does on the show.

  • Optical Camouflage– Purchased from Ripper Doc in East Santo Domingo, who sells two different qualities of the item: Legendary ($28,000) and Rare ($4,000). Obviously you should go for the best one, but the rare quality will follow the game early and still lasts 5 seconds.
  • Kerenzikov– Speaking of Lucy’s skillful movement in combat, it would be smart to include something that allows her to slide and dodge faster while slowing down time, which is exactly what a Kerenzikov does. The Ripper Doc Arroyo sells them in Santo Domingo for $7,500.
  • Maneuver System– Add a maneuver system to enhance the effects of the Kerenzikov and turn Lucy into a melee demon at close range. The Ripper Doc Arroyo sells them in Santo Domingo for $3,000.

character points

Since we know from the show that Lucy is a Netrunner expert, it would make sense to build her around intelligence. Of course, we’ll also need to throw a lot of points at Reflexes to make sure she can use the Monowire and our Cyberware. In fact, it’s important to note that as of Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.5, the Monowire actually scales with Reflex, so you’ll definitely want to invest heavily in it to maximize its damage. Elsewhere, there are also Benefits to investing in Cool and Body. Let’s take a look at some!

Please note that the following is not an exhaustive list, but they are benefits that we believe any Lucy-style build needs.

Massive Vulnerability + Resistance Upgrades and Quickhacks – Bursting into enemies before attacking increases their vulnerabilities, making starting melee encounters much more effective. Upgrade them with Resistances and Quickhacks upgrades to further enhance their effects.
