How to get logs, twigs, straw and stones in Medieval Dynasty
The first stage of construction is crafting tools and collecting building materials for the future building. To collect the logs needed to build a house, you first need to make an ax, and to make a building out of wood, a hammer. All this requires resources.
How to get branches
Branches are the easiest resource to mine, because they literally lie underfoot in huge quantities. Just leave the village and go to the forest. Twigs will probably lie on the ground. In addition, you can get them by pulling out small trees.
How to get stones
Finding stones is also not difficult. The easiest way to find them is near the river, but in the forests and villages this good is enough. Just walk around and look around.
In the future, stones can be found in caves and on mountain slopes.
How to get straw
Move towards the large river. There will be thickets of reeds near its shores – there you need it. It is by collecting this plant that you can get straw.
How to get logs
Logs are obtained from felled trees. To get started, equip the ax:
- Go to inventory ( I on PC).
- Select “Stone Ax”.
- Click Equip.
- Select a key from 1 to 8 to which the item will be assigned, and click on it.
Now just take the ax in hand and hit the trees with it. When the tree falls, chop it twice more so that it turns into logs that can already be collected.
The ax breaks down over time, so it is more rational to cut down large trees at once (for example, large maples), because they will give more logs. So, from one ordinary tree you can collect 3 logs, and from those that are larger – 6. And also do not forget to pick up the logs obtained from the tops of trees. It is very easy to lose them in the grass.
Don’t take too much wood with you at once. The logs are quite heavy, and if you have overload, the character will quickly become thirsty and hungry.
How to craft instruments in Medieval Dynasty
- To craft the ax and hammer, go to the crafting menu ( Q on PC).
- In the radial menu that appears, select the “Craft” option.
- Select the required subject:
- for a stone ax you will need 10 branches and 2 stones;
- for a wooden hammer – 10 branches and 1 log.

How to build a house in Medieval Dynasty
After the game gives the task to build a house, you need to find a place for it. Don’t wander far from the village looking for the perfect spot. At least because for the first story quests you will still have to return there, and it is better to have merchants nearby.
It is best to stay at a site near the river (so that there is always where to drink) and the forest (so that food and building materials are also nearby). In addition, the place for the house must be more or less even.
Bring up the creation radial menu ( Q ) again and select Buildings, then Homes, and there is the only available option.Now you will need to turn around on the selected plot of land to find the ideal place for the building (then it will turn green).After installing the foundation and frame, you will need to erect the walls and roof. To do this, you need a hammer and a lot of branches and logs.
Take a hammer in your hand, and the game will highlight the places where the walls and roofs of your house will be. You can change their type before starting construction (and also choose where the windows and doors will be). To do this, click on “Edit” and select the required from the radial menu. True, we do not recommend changing anything for your first home, because the game offers the least expensive option by default.
To start construction, simply hit with a hammer on a wall that does not yet exist. It will gradually turn from blue to green.The same construction principle is at the roof. You have to manually “tap” the whole house like this. But at the end you will get a cozy dwelling in which the game will carefully place a sleeping place, a chest and a fire with a kettle.
