We tell you how to establish a base, what can be built, where to find new schemes and resources for construction
Building a house is an essential task for any survivor in Fallout 76 , as having your base makes life easier. You can supply yourself with food and water, collect all workbenches in one place, rest and arrange a warehouse. We will tell you how to build your own house in this guide.
How to build your home
Press Tab , and then select “Move CAMP”, then select a flat area with no other buildings. If it is possible to build a house, it will appear as a green aura.
After building a house, you can move to it for free and respawn. It makes sense to build a base where it is most convenient to go to important objects. Your house is displayed on the map as follows:
What can be built
- A complete residential building. For this there are floors, walls, roofs, stairs, doors. Objects are automatically adjusted to other objects for level construction.
- You can put objects for craftingon your territory : a food preparation and service point for power armor, workbenches (weapon, repair, for armor), a chemical laboratory.
- Turrets, traps and fencesto defend against enemies attacking your home.
- Generators of electricityneeded to power certain objects. There are also connectors and switches required to extend wiring and power objects that do not require wires. You can also place lighting objects. To hold the wire from the generator to the desired object, go to modification mode ( R ), after select an object and tap T .
- You can establish the production of food and wateron the territory. There is also a fertilizer manufacturer.
- Fittings that can be used to furnish a home, such as Nuka-Cola vending machines, a TV or a bathroom. You can also place beds to restore health, chairs, tables, shelves and decorations.
- Storage boxes.
- There is also a “Miscellaneous”category , which includes a wide variety of items that did not fall into other categories.
Where to find schematics
Initially, you will have a small set of building diagrams. To discover new ones, participate in the activities of the game and explore the world. Blueprints are also sold by trading robots in the “Notes” section.
Where to get resources
Collect trash and disassemble it on workbenches. Participate in activities and get rewards in the form of resources. If you have caps, buy resources from trading robots in the “trash” section.
