As in any social network, there are bad users and the normal thing is that we do not want to be disturbed . For this reason, at Clubhouse we have tools to report certain users and block them from being able to contact us.
What happens when you block someone in the Clubhouse?
Blocking a user has some connotations that you should assess, it is true that there are circumstances in which you can coincide with blocked users , but on other occasions this user could not interact with you.
- The blocked person will not be able to enter the rooms or rooms where you are the speaker.
- You will see a notificationif you try to access this room.
However, there are other situations where you might encounter blocked users, at least until Clubhouse takes action:
- You can both still join the same roomswhere neither is the speaker.
- The blocked person can still see the rooms you enterand if you are currently in one of them.
Therefore, even if we block someone in Clubhouse, we will still be able to cost this user in many situations.
How to report and block someone in Clubhouse
Blocking someone in Clubhouse is a fairly easy process , you just need to enter this user’s profile. You can search for it directly or find it among your followers, or the followers of other users that you follow.
Once in your profile, touch the icon with 3 dots above and click on «Report incident», «Report an incident». This way you could send a report to the Clubhouse moderation team so they can intervene and, if necessary, delete this user’s account. You can send both images and screenshots as well as text.
After sending the full report, click again on the 3 points above and tap on «Block» , or «Block». A sign will appear for you to confirm that you want to block that user. Once accepted, that user will be blocked for you at Clubhouse.
