How to beat the vacuum cleaner in it takes two
The Hoover will be the first boss you encounter in It Takes Two. This may come as a surprise to A Way Out fans who were used to a more narrative gameplay, but that said, it’s a very manageable battle.
The combat isn’t too difficult and most of The Hoover’s attacks are slow and telegraphed enough that you can jump or dodge assuming you’re not sleeping. However, if you have any issues, just watch out for The Hoover’s attacks and check out the schematics.
The two main attacks are a ground wave that you will have to jump over before it hits you, and an area of effect mine attack that you should be able to dodge in a space that is not covered by them.
You can damage the vacuum cleaner every time it fires its explosive cylinders. When they appear, you can control two different vacuums by pressing Triangle on PlayStation and Y on Xbox.
Anyone controlling the upper tier simply has to point their hose at The Hoover, while the lower tier should focus on sucking up the cylinders. Keep shooting them at The Hoover until all health runs out and you’ve won the first boss battle.
