In Hunt: Showdown, players can face a number of terrifying bosses, each with unique abilities and appearance. Among these formidable opponents are the agile and deadly Spider, the brutal Butcher, the mysterious Assassin and the disgusting Scrapbeak. In addition, some game locations are inhabited by a giant crocodile, which poses a considerable danger to hunters. To get rid of these monsters and receive valuable rewards, it is necessary to conduct a special banishment ritual, which takes exactly three and a half minutes and requires coordinated teamwork and quick tactical decisions from players.
How to defeat the Butcher
The Butcher is one of the most dangerous bosses in Hunt: Showdown. This hulking brute wields a massive hook engulfed in flames and is capable of going berserk, increasing his movement speed many times over. In this state, the Butcher rushes at the nearest hunter, leaving a trail of fire behind him.
However, despite its intimidating appearance and apparent invulnerability, this boss has several weak points. First, although it is immune to fire, the Butcher is extremely vulnerable to bleeding damage and, to a lesser extent, poison. Therefore, the most effective way to deal with it is to use sticky bombs, melee weapons, crossbows, and accordion bombs. Crossbow bolts, accordion bomb explosions, and melee weapons cause massive blood loss, quickly depleting the monster’s health. Sticky bombs are especially useful – one successful hit can instantly take away 3/4 of the Butcher’s life force.
Also, don’t forget about the choke bombs. They don’t do any direct damage, but they do allow you to put out the flames that flare up around the boss when he goes berserk. This will give you a little breathing room and an opportunity to counterattack.
How to defeat Spider
The Spider is one of the most agile and unpredictable bosses in Hunt: Showdown. This agile monster attacks hunters with poisonous bites, and in a state of madness, it becomes even more aggressive and dangerous. At such moments, it quickly catches up with players and begins to shower them with a hail of lightning-fast attacks, not giving them a moment to breathe.
But don’t despair – this eight-legged horror has a weak spot. Despite being completely immune to poison, the Spider is extremely afraid of fire. Therefore, the key to defeating him is the correct use of incendiary weapons and equipment.
The most effective means against the Spider are incendiary bombs and cartridges with the corresponding effect. Do not disdain the usual lanterns, which are scattered in abundance throughout all locations – with due skill, they can also successfully set the monster on fire. If you manage to stick a sticky bomb to the boss, this will cause him colossal damage.
Another useful tip is to take a couple of syringes with antidote. They won’t help you directly in combat, but they will quickly neutralize the poisoning received from the monster’s bites. This will give you a better chance of surviving until the victorious end.
How to defeat Assassin
The Assassin is one of the most cunning and unpredictable bosses in Hunt: Showdown. This agile enemy can instantly change appearance, turning from a humanoid figure into a swarm of buzzing insects and back. In human form, he wields a sharp blade that causes severe bleeding, and in the form of a swarm, he attacks with poisonous bites. The Assassin is especially dangerous when he goes berserk – then he creates a clone of himself, which sends a thick cloud of bugs at the hunters, completely blocking their view.
But even this insidious monster has its weaknesses. Although the Assassin is extremely resistant to bleeding, he is vulnerable to poison and fire damage. Therefore, the most effective weapons against him are poison cartridges, as well as bombs with poisonous or incendiary fillings.
When you damage the Assassin in human form enough, he will temporarily disintegrate into a multitude of insects, flying in all directions at random. Use this opportunity to deal as much damage as possible without risking retaliation.
If a swarm of beetles does catch up with you and block your view, don’t panic. The best way to get rid of them quickly is to engage in close combat. Slash and stab the enemy with all your might, and the buzzing curtain will soon dissipate.
Another valuable piece of advice is to always have several syringes of antidote ready. A timely injection will help prevent poisoning and keep you healthy.
But it’s better not to experiment with sticky bombs in this case. The assassin is too fast and evasive for you to be guaranteed to hit him, so there’s a high risk of wasting ammunition.
How to defeat Trashbeak
Scrapbeak is a very unusual boss in Hunt: Showdown. Its main feature is that it hides a lot of useful items under its massive body. At the beginning of the fight, Scrapbeak arms itself with a random melee weapon, which it uses to attack hunters. In addition, it is able to throw pieces of barbed wire at players, causing bleeding. When Scrapbeak goes into a frenzy, it begins to throw wire traps around itself and drop valuable items, such as ammo boxes and melee weapons.
Therefore, when fighting this boss, be extremely careful and do not rush to use incendiary weapons and explosives against him. Although Scrapbeak is vulnerable to fire and explosions, such attacks will destroy all the items dropped by him, making them useless. Instead, focus on poison attacks and melee weapons, because this monster is especially sensitive to poison damage.
However, keep in mind that accordion bombs are not very effective in this case – Junkbeak can easily withstand their explosions, remaining practically unharmed.
The best tactic against this boss is to surround him from all sides and attack him with poison bombs, shotguns with poison ammo, and melee weapons. Remember to dodge his wire projectiles and watch out for the traps he sets.
How to defeat a crocodile
The Crocodile is a special enemy in the world of Hunt: Showdown. Unlike other bosses, hunters have several different tactics to deal with this huge reptile.
One of the most effective ways is to use a katana in combination with the Berserker skill. If you use this combination correctly, you can kill the crocodile in just 4 hits. The secret is to constantly move around the places from which the crocodile is going to attack, and deliver quick and accurate blows with the blade. This tactic requires agility and good reaction, but with due skill, it allows you to deal with the boss in record time.
Another effective method is to throw dynamite sticks at the crocodile. Be careful, though: not all types of dynamite explode in water, so choose your ammunition wisely. It is best to use regular sticks and throw them on dry land near places where the crocodile likes to rest between attacks.
And of course, no one has cancelled the simple and reliable way – shoot the boss with a firearm. The crocodile is very vulnerable to bullets, so several accurate shots from a gun or rifle can cause serious damage to him. The main thing is to keep moving and try to keep your distance so as not to fall into the deadly jaws of the reptile.
