One of the first you’ll encounter is the Wandering Wraith , a strange combatant who can turn the tide of battle in his favor in a matter of seconds. If you’re struggling against him, here’s how to defeat him .
How to beat Black Myth Wukong’s Wandering Specter
Well, the first thing you need to keep in mind is that this could be your second or third boss. If you let the spell that turns you into a bug wear off before fighting Guangzhi, you’ll be able to face the Spectre sooner. This is something I don’t recommend, as Red Tides , the ability that allows you to turn into Guangzhi , will help you a lot in this fight. Before we get into the strategies, I’m going to recommend a way to start the fight.
When you reach the Wandering Wraith, if it has its back turned, go straight for it and do a full R1/RB combo . As soon as you finish the last hit, use your immobilization spell and repeat the strategy. This will cause the Wraith to fall to the ground, where you must use a combo with concentration strike to finish the strategy. If you’ve done everything right, you’ll have taken out a third of its health bar before it has time to breathe.
- Stomp : The Wraith uses stomps to control the space around him. These can be followed by another stomp, a spin attack, a ranged attack, or even a succession of all of these. Think carefully about what the next strike will be. If you dodge the ranged attack, you will have a wide window of punishment.
- Headbutt : An easy attack to predict and dodge, but absolutely devastating. When you see him raise his head, I recommend being careful with your attacks. Once dodged, he’s easy to punish.
- Leap Attack – When the Wraith leaps towards you, you don’t just have to worry about the hit, but the damage it does around it. It can drain your life bar before you know it, but luckily once it’s dodged it leaves you plenty of room to deal punishment.
- Life Wave – Can be used as part of a combo or from a distance. When you see the Wraith crouch or duck a bit, be ready for his most devastating attack. It’s not hard to dodge, but it does play tricks on your timing . You can try punishing afterward, but depending on how far away you are, it might not be worth it.
As I said, Crimson Tides is a great ally . Turning into Guangzhi allows you to set the Spectre on fire, and its final attack will do massive amounts of damage. Also, its strong ranged attack will cover a large part of the arena to do some serious damage. You can use it immediately after the strategy at the beginning of the fight, and you will probably end up taking away more than half of its life.
